The Journey Begins: The ID. Buzz World Tour Is Underway
After months of preparation, it’s now official: the ID. Buzz World Tour has begun.
Today, the final organizational step took place at the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Customer Center in Hannover – the official send-off for the project. In a small but meaningful gathering, representatives from Volkswagen, our main sponsor Giti, and a notary for the formal documentation came together.
With all formalities completed, the route planned, and the vehicle fully equipped, the tour can now begin.
With the ID. Buzz Pro Long, specially converted and outfitted with mobile charging technology, we are setting off on a journey that will take us around the world. The next stop is already set – and the coming weeks and months will be filled with stories, impressions, and encounters.
We look forward to everything ahead – and we’ll take you with us through every chapter.
Yesterday at 2:15 p.m., we left Hannover and set off toward Berlin. However, our planned route via the A2 was disrupted by a full closure in Brandenburg, forcing us to take a spontaneous detour through smaller country roads and villages.
Along the way, we made several interesting stops:
At the former border crossing between East and West Germany in Marienfelde,
as well as at the Elbe Lift Lock in Magdeburg, a historical feat of engineering.
In the evening, we finally arrived in Berlin. There, we visited some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks: the Victory Column, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Reichstag – a spectacular end to the day.
Next stop: Hamburg
