Day 5 – From Riga via Warsaw to Prague: Four Countries, Eight Borders, One Baron of Lies

Day five of the ID. Buzz World Tour started in Latvia, our seventh country, with a warm welcome from Gints and the Giti team in Riga – including an interview and traditional Latvian snacks for the road.

On our way south, we passed the residence of Baron Münchhausen – a spontaneous but fun stop – before crossing into Lithuania overnight (country #8), and reaching Poland by daybreak.

In Warsaw, we met with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Poland and Thomas from Giti Poland, followed by a quick visit to the Palace of Culture and Science. Then we continued on to Czechia, our ninth country.

Just meters across the Czech border, we met a Swedish couple with a Tyre punche.

We made a quick charging stop in a small Czech village – pleasantly surprised that our Elli card worked perfectly off the highway. Shortly after, we waved down an old VW T3, joined by two participants of the Baltic Rally from Konstanz.

In Prague, Jaroslav from Giti welcomed us, accompanied by a colleague with a mobile tyre service who checked our tyre pressure on-site – a quick and efficient stop before heading further west.
