From Lisbon to Monaco – 24 Hours of Driving, a Storm, and Two Country Stops

After our stay in Lisbon, we set off heading east – with our next stops being Andorra and Monaco. It was clear from the start that this would be one of the most challenging stages of the entire European tour.

Once we arrived in Andorra, there was only time for a quick photo before we continued directly toward Monaco.

In the evening, we received a severe weather warning for the Barcelona region – with forecasts of heavy rain and flooding. Shortly after, we experienced the storm firsthand: a massive downpour forced us into one of the slowest stretches of the tour so far. At times, we were crawling along the highway at 30 km/h, as anything faster simply wasn’t possible.

Despite the weather challenges, we’re pushing on toward our next goal.

Next stop: Monte Carlo.
