Border Detour & Desert Vibes

After a short night in 📍Beyneu, we hit the road towards the Uzbekistan border. Unfortunately, due to reconstruction work, the crossing was only open to trucks. A quick call with the German embassy confirmed what we feared — waiting here would take far too long.

So, we made the decision to take the long detour via Shymkent.

The desert-like landscape along the way was absolutely fascinating, and our ID.Buzz really stood out against the wide open terrain. In the evening, after hours of waiting in a traditional Kazakh restaurant, we finally continued on to Aktobe.

Next stop: Aktobe!
