Day 241-242 from Eswatini to NataÂ
📅 27TH and 28TH February 2026 📍Nata, Botswana
Botswana – Official Reception and Onward to the Wild
Gaborone welcomed us with an official visit to a local VW importer. Representatives from the German Embassy, the Ministry of International Relations, and the national utility provider, Botswana Power Corporation, were also in attendance. The exchange highlighted the growing importance of sustainable mobility and international cooperation within the region.
Later in the afternoon, our route took us past the Tropic of Capricorn and through several traffic checkpoints toward Palapye and Francistown, where we were able to recharge at 40 kW stations. This stage once again demonstrated the importance of reliable charging infrastructure across vast and remote areas.
The day concluded in Nata, near the border to the renowned Hwange National Park. With great anticipation, we looked forward to the next day’s safari adventure and the unique wildlife experiences awaiting us.
