Day 379 From Buenos Aires to Montevideo

📅 14 July 2026 📍Montevideo, Uruguay

Arriving Uruguay

After spending a few days checking the ID. Buzz in Buenos Aires, we were invited to visit the Volkswagen plant in Pacheco, the birthplace of the famous Amarok. After that, we crossed the RĂver Plate to Colonia aboard the high-speed Buquebus catamaran ferry.

This historic Spanish colonial town offered excellent photo opportunities before we continued the next day to Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo. Especially the Rambla, with its kilometers of beaches and tall apartment buildings, reminded us of a Spanish or Italian Mediterranean city. Uruguay has a very good fast-charging infrastructure.
