Crossing Tacuarembó 

From Montevideo, we drove straight north toward the border with Brazil. The road was an excellent dual-carriageway highway, allowing us to cross the country quickly. Besides meat, the forestry industry is Uruguay’s second-largest export sector, and we saw many timber trucks along the road.

In Tacuarembó, Giti Tire invited us to a wonderful barbecue, which we really enjoyed together with the team. Thank you very much for your warm hospitality.

That night, in Rivera, we crossed the border into Brazil for the first time.
