With beautiful weather on our side, we took the opportunity to explore more of Durban. The powerful waves along the wide beachfront were particularly impressive. We spent some time watching the surfers glide effortlessly through the surf.

Durban reveals many contrasts: historic colonial-era buildings stand alongside modern landmarks such as the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium, shaping the city’s diverse character. In an unexpected encounter, a local artist approached us and offered to paint our VW ID. Buzz — with a truly outstanding result.

By late afternoon, we left the coastline behind and headed into the mountains toward Kokstad.
