Johannesburg – Strong Partnerships and Industrial Insights

We arrived in Johannesburg late in the evening, before starting early the next morning with our first presentation at Tiger Wheel & Tyre – the official partner of Giti Tire in South Africa. Many thanks for the invitation and the open, professional exchange.

After a short stretch on the highway, our second appointment took us to Maxion Wheels. The facility primarily produces aluminum wheels for the VW Polo manufactured in South Africa. The insight into the local production processes and the high level of manufacturing expertise was truly impressive.

Our final stop of the day was at Kühne + Nagel South Africa, who were responsible for shipping our vehicle to Durban. The personal visit provided a valuable opportunity to acknowledge the successful cooperation and reflect on the logistics behind this milestone.

In the evening, we made a brief charging stop at a 150 kW GridCars station — efficient and straightforward, perfectly aligned with the structured pace of this intensive day.
