Day 10: Paris Stop with Traffic, Charging, and a Special Photo Spot

After an overnight ferry crossing from Dover, we arrived in Calais this morning – and in true tour fashion, our first stop was a charging station.

Freshly recharged, we continued toward Paris. If you’ve ever driven into the city, you know the drill: the last few kilometers take forever. It took us nearly two hours to cover just 15 km into the city center. But we made it in time for our meeting with Volkswagen France, where we were warmly welcomed by Nicolas.

One of the highlights: a joint drive through Paris – Nicolas in a red ID. Buzz, us in the yellow Long Wheelbase version. And of course, we couldn’t miss the chance for a quick photo stop in front of the Eiffel Tower. The ID. Buzz may look almost small next to the iconic structure – but that’s exactly the charm. An electric Bulli in the heart of Paris, right in front of the city’s most famous landmark.

To round off the stop, we also met with our sponsors from Giti Tire.

After the meeting, we hit the road again and headed south.
