In the morning, we set off from Kasane, Botswana’s hotspot for wildlife viewing, heading west toward Namibia. From the very first kilometers, full attention was required — we had to avoid elephant dung on the road and watch out for gazelles repeatedly and unexpectedly crossing our path.
We crossed the border into Namibia quickly and without complications. The first 30 kilometers on Namibian soil were marked by the sight of a freshly slaughtered cow by the roadside.
On our way back to Kasane, Botswana once again showcased its impressive wildlife: hyenas, giraffes, and elephants crossed our route, turning the drive into a moving safari experience. The new Zambezi Bridge, which has replaced the long-standing ferry connection, symbolizes the region’s infrastructural progress and improved connectivity.
In the evening, we were charged for the first time by our energy partner ZESCO in Livingstone.
