Electric Kigali – The VW ID. Buzz in the Capital

Early in the morning, we charged our VW ID. Buzz in Kigali at a 60 kW charging station before heading to Volkswagen. On the way there, we encountered countless motorcycles in traffic — about half of them already powered by electric motors.

Around midday, we met the Ambassador of Rwanda. Afterwards, a special moment followed: together with five VW ID. Buzz vehicles, we drove through the city in a small convoy and took the opportunity to capture some photos.

In Kigali, even the airport shuttles are operated with the VW ID. Buzz — a clear sign of the city’s strong focus on modern and sustainable mobility.
