Welcome to Colombia

After a very short crossing of the Caribbean Sea, our blue Maersk container carrying the ID. Buzz arrived in the historic Spanish colonial city of Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Pan-American Highway has its famous gap at the Darién channel, so every overlander must use this way. The humidity was tremendous, and the port process took about two days to get the car through customs. However, the port is very well organized.

In Colombia, we will now charge with our new EV charging partner, Voltex Terpel. We spent a few hours in Cartagena driving our ID. Buzz through one of the most beautiful colonial cities in South America.

We now have to move quickly across Colombia before the border closes next weekend due to the presidential elections.
