Crossing Cauca

With a fully charged car, we left Popayán very early because we wanted to drive the next stage through the Cauca region during daylight hours. The scenery along this road was breathtaking, as many of the valleys we crossed were several hundred meters deep.

We took a picture at the same location and with the same motif as we had done in 2011 with the Volkswagen Touareg Record expedition.

We charged in Pasto and continued on a dual-carriageway highway toward the border near Ipiales, arriving in Ibarra in time to charge overnight at our hotel.
