Arriving Quito

We arrived by 10:00 AM in the capital of Ecuador, Quito, where Volkswagen invited journalists and influencers to see the project. The interest was great also because electric mobility is growing quite fast.

After Riobamba, we reached a height of almost 2,500 meters, and we met for the first time native Ecuadorian people with their traditional hats and clothes.

The drive went through the clouds, fog, and beautiful small villages before we entered the coastal area near Machala, with enormous banana plantations on both sides of the highway. We chose the wrong way down, as just two weeks earlier, a super heavy rainstorm had destroyed almost the whole route.
