Arriving Paraguay

Passing a massive Statue of Liberty, we entered Brazil for one day before crossing Argentina again on our way to Paraguay. We saw gauchos working in the fields with their horses and witnessed the tremendous support of the Argentine people for their national football team.

At night, we arrived at the Paraguayan border in the city of Encarnación and followed Route 1 to the capital, Asunción. The EV charging infrastructure is mainly provided by the Volkswagen importer DIESA, with 60 kW chargers, many of them even free of charge.

The next morning, DIESA and Giti Tire gave us a great welcome at the dealership together with the local VW Bus Club. A very nice surprise was seeing our ID. Buzz banner inside the Estadio ueno Defensores del Chaco, the National Stadium of Paraguay.

That night, we crossed the border into Brazil for the second time at Foz do Iguaçu.
