From Dover to Holyhead – England on Detours and a VW Fan in Shakespeare’s Village

Today we checked off our 15th country on the ID. Buzz World Tour: England.

We spent the night at a charging station in Dover, where we recharged not only the vehicle’s battery but also ourselves.

In the morning, we continued north – with a stop in a true classic of English cultural history: Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. We captured the village’s picturesque atmosphere and met Phil, an enthusiastic VW bus fan traveling in his own T2. A friendly meeting among like-minded van lovers.

Next, we headed to Northwich, where we visited our partner Giti Tire UK.

We then continued on toward Holyhead, the ferry port for the next stage of our journey. Several road closures forced us to take detours – leading us through small villages, narrow roads, and plenty of typical British charm.

Next stop: Dublin.
