Day 95-97 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
📅 3-5 October 2025 📍Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
From Malaysia Border to Kuala Lumpur
Despite the heavy rain, we crossed into Malaysia, the grey skies casting a somber tone over our journey. After a cozy overnight stay in Georgetown, we set out towards Kuala Lumpur, crossing the iconic bridge that connects the two regions. We’re overtaken by hundreds of motorcycles rushing past us.
The next day, Kuala Lumpur surpises us with sunshine and no rain, best condition to make a downtown site seeing tour, the Petronas Towers were first on our list. Standing beneath their towering steel forms, we joined the crowd trying to take it all in. The bridge suspended between them felt like a link between ambition and artistry.
Next, we stopped at Merdeka 118 for a photo, only to find a marathon wrapping up. We chatted with some finishers—strangers for only a minute—sharing stories and the spirit of movement that brought us all there.
Later, we wandered past the Majestic Hotel and admired the colonial-era KTM train station, still dignified in its white-washed arches. Finally, we wrapped up our walk in the bustling lanes of Petaling Street—where scents, sounds, and colors crash together in the best way possible.
Next stop: Malacca!
